PROCEEDS WILL GO TO SUPPORT THE VFW POST 10227 BUILDING FUND

Mingus Mountain VFW Post #10227 in Prescott Valley was chartered in 1971 as a local chapter (post) of the U. S. Veterans of Foreign Wars, to serve the Prescott Valley, Arizona community, and it's Veterans. The post began by our members holding our monthly meetings in local churches and other public facilities. We did it that way throughout most of our history. Then, more than 10 years ago, our members decided to work toward acquiring a dedicated building to call our very own "Post Home". We wanted a place where all we veterans of Arizona could meet, socialize, and share our experiences with all of our other comrades in arms and fulfill the VFW mission: To "Honor (and remember) the dead - by serving the living."
A building site was acquired through a very generous and benevolent donation from the Fain family of Prescott Valley. The initial construction efforts that we have attained so far have all been funded by contributions from special events, from our own post members, and from local businesses and organizations.
As of this writing the steel building has been erected and the project is proceeding, however - as committed as all of our VFW post members are - the funds raised and set aside for construction of our post home will soon be depleted. To date our post has expended more than $80,000 to get the project up and running to where it is today, but; the budget for all of these final efforts toward the total completion of our post home far exceeds our available funding by approximately $250,000.
The remaining projects include: bringing in electricity and natural gas utilities into the building; grading and paving the driveway, parking lot and sidewalks; finishing and outfitting the interior (including the food preparation and service areas); and the finer amenities that will be required, both inside and out, including furniture and decorations inside, and trees, plants, bushes and decorative rock outside.
We need a lot of financial assistance to complete our decade long dream.
We will gladly and appreciatively welcome any form of contribution, including construction materials, supplies and appliances. Anything at all that will help us to finally realize our dream. Individuals, companies or groups who wish to help can send their financial contributions to:
VFW Post 10227, P.O. Box 25702, Prescott Valley, AZ 86312-5702
Please help us raise this $250,000 toward the completion of our Post Home.
PLEASE HELP US IN HELPING ALL OF OUR LOCAL VETERANS IN THIS ENDEAVOR
