By clicking on the National Veterans of Foreign Wars "join the elite" Website URL (below) you can read almost everything there is to know about the VFW and what we members of the VFW do for America's Veterans. It will also explain what we do for all of the communities all across the hills and plains of our great country. The Website covers a very wide spectrum of information. The guidelines you will find are the ones all of we VFW Post Members and Post Membership Chairmen adhere to.

If you do not presently have proof of your eligibility to join the VFW you can visit the following Website (below) to request the proof that you need. Historically there have been a number of times, mainly just through simple little clerical errors, where a veteran's decorations and combat history may have been inserted into his military records, but was simply omitted from the serviceman's DD Form 214 (Report of Separation). Many of these errors can be corrected on-site at the National Personnel Records Center through issuance of a document known as a DD-215. Simply enter the required information into the system to start the process. There are four very simple steps that you will need to take to navigate your way through this process. The Website will not only guide you through all the steps that need to be taken, but will also show you exactly which step you are on at the time. It can be found here:
