DONATION INFORMATION

That old saying "Veterans Helping Veterans" goes hand-in-hand with the VFW motto of  Honoring the Dead by Helping the Living. Our VFW Post's main concern is for our local  tri-city Veterans and their families. That is mission number one for us. Not only in helping them with whatever benefits they may have coming to them, but in numerous other ways as well.

Our National VFW leaders play a very vital role with regard to VA legislation. Our senior VFW members in Washington advises not only the Senate, but also the President of the United States himself with regard to America's Veteran needs.

Mingus Mountain VFW Post 10227 and our Ladies Auxiliary are deeply involved  at the community level as we participate in various community functions and activities.

BUT, none of these efforts comes cheap. We are always in need of money, of donations, so that we may continue our job of assisting our local veterans. We are always in need of  donations that may help us continue our pledge to: 

"HONOR THE DEAD BY HELPING THE LIVING"

Won't you please help us help them? Can you (read: will you?) please make a donation with regard to our post's numerous efforts and causes today.

If you cannot make a monetary donation at this time can you donate in some other manner? Would it be possible for you to assist us with regard to construction materials? Can you donate nursery items such as plants, trees, decorative rock, or industrial type plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, kitchen supplies or any other type of materials?

A nice looking plaque with your organizations name on it on the wall of our new post home when it reaches it's final phase sometime in the next few months would be a nice advertisement for you going into the future. Your name would also appear on our "Boosters" page. 

 

   

INFORMATION TO CONTRIBUTORS

Our Mingus Mountain VFW Post 10227 here in Prescott Valley, Arizona is incorporated in the State of Arizona as a tax-exempt, non-profit veterans group operating as a 501 (C) (19) organization. Our elected officers, appointed officers, committeemen, and all of our other volunteers work from their homes and serve without pay or financial incentive.  One-hundred percent of all contributed money is applied to further the work described above, and/or for whatever other financial or material needs or services that a veteran or his or her family may have. Every single penny goes to them. Our post does not engage in mass-mailings, nor phone solicitation, nor does it employ professional fund-raisers. Instead, we rely upon the good will of our own members and of those who know of and support our worthwhile local and national programs. Much of our money, a very good-sized chunk of it, comes from contributions from among our own post membership and from a number of other local and outside individuals who all support our goal of supporting  OUR local veterans and their families. All donations to the post fully qualify as charitable contributions under the federal tax code and Federal and State IRS rules. You will be given a receipt for any and all money, equipment, materials, etc that you may donate.

 

And please also consider this: anything and everything that you do for our post will be going toward the benefit of ALL of our tri-city veterans. Can you think of a better way of spending your money? VFW Post 10227 sure can't. We owe our country's veterans so very, very much.
